From October 17th to 24th, CKXU 88.3 FM is overjoyed to host FUNdrive 2025: CAMP CKXU! This annual fundraiser provides essential support to the station and emphasizes the community-centric and foundational efforts made by the CKXU Staff and Volunteers to garner donations from our community.
This fall, the fundraiser’s theme emerges heavy-footed and ready to kill (our bills) taking inspo from the beloved slasher horror film genre! We’re hoping to slash our bills this year by utilizing our broadcast to give you thrilling community-generated content guaranteed to send shivers down your spine! FUNdrive 2025: CAMP CKXU programming promises to deliver the most creative kills (radio) imaginable.
We invite the community to celebrate another year of FUNdrive with the CKXU Crew as we work to raise $13,000 to SLASH OUR BILLS! Making radio, keeping the broadcast equipment in tip-top shape, and maintaining our Broadcast tower lease and utilities accounts for 70% of our annual operating expenses and it’s thanks to amazing donors and donors-to-be (like YOU!) that we’re able to pay these bills and keep the good ol’ CKXU tunes a flowing!
