Over the past couple months, the CKXU Governance Committee has been working to develop an Accessibility Plan for the station that aligns with new Federal legislation under the Accessible Canada Act and the CRTC Accessibility Reporting Regulations. CKXU would also like to take this opportunity to thank the NCRA for providing support and guidance throughout the development of these documents.

This plan (and by extension, the survey) is designed to help CKXU identify and respond to accessibility issues and barriers that may exist throughout the organization. As a part of this work, we are asking the CKXU Membership, Volunteers, Programmers, Staff, Board, and the community-at-large to participate in our Barriers to Access Survey.

  The CKXU Governance Committee will be accepting survey responses from Tuesday April 12 to Tuesday May 24, 2022 at 4PM.

  There is a total of 10 multiple choice and 9 short answer questions, and we estimate that it will take between 10 to 15 minutes to complete the survey. The sections in the survey include:

  • Physical Accessibility to Station Spaces, Meetings, Events (2 multiple choice, 2 short answer)

  • Addressing Barriers in Policy & Bylaws (1 multiple choice, 1 short answer)

  • Addressing Barriers in Programs (2 multiple choice, 2 short answer)

  • Addressing Barriers in our Practices (2 multiple choice, 2 short answer)

  • Addressing Barriers in Services Offered (2 multiple choice, 2 short answer)

  • Feedback for Proposed Accessibility Improvements (1 question)

  Survey Respondent Prize Draw
  

  
  

  All survey respondents who provide contact information will be entered into a prize draw to win a $25 gift card to Cuppers Coffee and a CKXU Sweatshirt / Hoodie of their choosing. The winner will be drawn on May 25th and will be contacted via email to arrange pickup or drop-off of their prize!
