Negotiations Breakdown Between ULFA and University of Lethbridge Board of Governors – Strike Announcement

After meeting this morning (Thursday February 10, 2022), negotiations between the University of Lethbridge Faculty Association (ULFA) and the University’s Board of Governors have broken down. At 11:00 am MST, ULFA will begin legal strike action.

ULFA members have been in negotiations for over 600 days, and have seen minimal movement at the bargaining table regarding outstanding key issues such as working conditions, collegial governance, and equitable pay and benefits.

ULFA’s President Dan O’Donnell will be giving two press conferences today. One will be in-person at the North entrance to the Lethbridge Campus (intersection of University Dr. and Valley Rd. W.) and the second at 1:30pm via Zoom.
