FUNdrive 2021: Primrose Poetry Contest

Pen your greatest piece of poetry yet for the Primrose Poetry Contest!

Are you an aspiring poet? A fan of the written word? Or maybe someone looking to share their art with the world? LOOK NO FURTHER! The Primrose Poetry Contest will take place on-air at 88.3 FM and via CKXU.COM on Monday October 18, 2021 at 6PM and will feature a variety of live poetry readings direct from the poets mouth.

Theme: Flowers, Environmentalism, “Blooming Anew” – Take Your Pick!

Poetry Submissions will be accepted from September 14 to October 13, 2021 !

Submissions will be judged for the following awards:

• Overall Best Poem

• Best Under 18 Poem

• Best Spoken Poem

A live reading of the submitted poems will take place on-air on Monday October 18, 2021 at 6PM. Once the readings are complete, the judges will announce our winners live-to-air! The winners will each be awarded one of CKXU’s FUNdrive 2021 Too Cool for School packs, which include a 2021/22 Friends Card, FUNdrive 2021 Sticker, Pink Frisbee, and Tie-Dye FUNdrive 2021 T-shirt.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

• Am I allowed to submit multiple poems?

  Yes! Participants may submit up to two (2) poems to the contest. Poems need to be submitted individually, and will be judged as individual pieces.

• Can I participate if I’m under 18?

  Yes, participation from folks of all ages is encouraged!

• How do I tune in to the on-air event?

  Tune your radio to 88.3 on the FM band OR tune in via our online webstream at CKXU.COM on Monday October 18, 2021 at 6PM.
