Start your CKXU volunteer journey off with a 45 min. Volunteer Orientation! Whether you’re interested in on-air programming, helping out with events and fundraisers, or spending some time in our Music Library, we’ve got a variety of volunteer opportunities for folks to explore!

WHEN: January 17, 18, 20, 24, 25, 26, 31, and February 1st, 2024 at 2PM and 4:30PM
WHERE: CKXU Station, located on Level 1 of the Students’ Union Building on the University of Lethbridge campus

WHY: All CKXU volunteers are required to participate in a Volunteer Orientation to help prep them for their volunteer roles. Folks will learn about CKXU and our history as a campus-community broadcast, review our Code of Conduct and expectations for volunteers, and explore the physical station space! Mix and match! Once you have completed the Volunteer Orientation, you can complete the other orientations at your convenience!

Stick around after the Volunteer Orientation for a 20 min. Music Library Orientation if you are interested in listening to, cataloging, and influencing what’s on the CKXU airwave from behind the scenes! Already a volunteer or programmer? Come learn how to find hidden gems and CKXU classics available only to you!

After all that, you’ve unlocked what’s next! What to be on the CKXU airways? Stay tuned right where you are for the 25 min. Programmer Orientation!
