FUNDRIVE 2023: Events Guide
From October 13 to 20, CKXU 88.3 FM is pleased to host FUNdrive 2022: Retrowave Radio! This annual fundraiser provides much needed support to the station, and puts emphasis on the grassroots, boots-on-the-ground efforts made by CKXU staff and volunteers alike to procure donations from the community-at-large.
This year, the fundraiser draws inspiration from 90s bubblegum wrappers, quirky gum slogans, diverse musical flavours, and the non-stop “Ken-ergy” needed to keep the station moving forward and growing! FUNdrive 2023: BUBBLEGUM BROADCAST truly encompasses the ethos and culture of the station – collaborative, community-based, and colourful.

CKXU’s FUNdrive 2023: Bubblegum Broadcast is starting off with a pop! Participate in our Double Bubble 50/50 Raffle by purchasing a raffle ticket online! Only $10 each, every ticket purchased gets you 1 entry into our 50/50 Raffle draw AND 1 secret vinyl for your listening pleasure! With 200 raffle tickets available, the draw winner could walk away with up to $1,000!
This is a licensed AGLC Raffle (Raffle License #657595) Participants must be 18+ in age and reside in Alberta. Valid photo ID will be required upon pickup to claim prize money.

Tune in to FIND THE RECORD on CKXU 88.3 FM from 2PM to 6PM on Saturday October 14, 2023 for another pop-up radio day! The CKXU Crew will be stationed at 1 of 4 different locations around town every hour – so tune in and see if you can solve our hints and follow the rhymes to each location, all while enjoying a selection of local DJ sets in-between hints!
Everyone who finds the CKXU Crew gets a limited edition For the Record vinyl sticker AND 1 entry into our FIND THE RECORD grand prize draw! The prize draw will take place on Sunday October 15, 2023 and the winner will be announced via CKXU’s website!
